Fall colours
The maples turn in mid-October. Thanksgiving is booked; weeknights are open through November, and the stove is lit.
Staying with us
Two places, one host
Sleeps 6 at the Lake House, 3 at the A-Frame. Book one, or both for two families.
Check-in from 4 pm
Check-out by 11 am. The lockbox code comes two days before.
The dock is yours
Two canoes, a swim raft and a fire pit on the shore — for both places.
We grew up coming here

The Lake House was my grandparents' cottage. We spent every summer of our childhood on that dock, and when it came to us we couldn't sell it, so we fixed the roof, put in a proper kitchen and started sharing it.
The A-Frame came later: we built it in the pines up the hill for friends who wanted the lake without the bunk room. It has the best sunrise on the property.
We live ten minutes away. We clean both places ourselves, stock the firewood, and answer a text faster than a rental site will.

Questions
How many can stay?
The Lake House sleeps 6 and the A-Frame 3 — the guest count you pick is how many sleep there, babies included. The price covers 4 at the Lake House and 2 at the A-Frame; each guest above that is a small extra a night. Friends for the day are welcome until 9 pm.
How are nights counted?
From check-in to check-out: Friday to Sunday is two nights. Check in from 4 pm, check out by 11 am — that morning's day isn't charged. The Lake House takes two nights at least.
Two families together?
Book both places for the same nights in one booking. The dock, the canoes and the fire pit are shared anyway.
Can we bring the dog?
At the Lake House, yes: one house-trained dog, picked when you book. Not at the A-Frame.
What do we bring?
Food and drinks. Sheets, towels, firewood for the stove, coffee and the kitchen basics are there. Life jackets for the canoes are in the boathouse.

Visiting & ordering
Location
In person
Check in from 4 pm with the lockbox code we email two days before, along with the address and directions. Check out by 11 am: dishes in the dishwasher, garbage in the bear bin, keys back in the box.
Refund policy
Leaving early doesn't refund the nights left. If something at the place stops working and we can't fix it the same day, we refund that night.
Cancellation policy
Cancel from your booking page while nothing is paid. After the deposit: 30 days or more before check-in, everything back; inside 30 days the deposit is kept unless we book the nights again.
Visit policy
No more guests overnight than you booked, babies included. Day visitors until 9 pm. Quiet after 11. No parties. The fire pit only when there's no fire ban — the township posts it at the end of the road.
